This is another one of those edits I did eons ago and I kept getting asked for it, but had lost my copy until very recently. Ephraim Lewis’ “Drowning” is an incredible song that I have loved for a long time. During my time at West End Records, I often patronized lunch spots along 14th street and 6th avenue. In a rush one night, I popped into Wendy’s and ordered something to take out. The stereo was playing “Drowning” and I thought, ‘I gotta remix this tune – its screaming for it’ Later on, I was told that Roger Sanchez was a fan of this and rocked it out to a humungous club crowd one night.
