“Ghumbah” is the brain child of DJ/Producer Adam Cruz. This is a chant for the soul, a dance for our ancestors that live all around us. Here, Eddie uses his amazing vocals to summon the Gods of Latin Roots. The result is an intense Latin fusion of Afro-Caribbean drum rhythms, sexy strings, and bangin’ bongos. Perfect for the summer, “Ghumbah” is inspired by and pays homage to such legendary congueros as Mongo Santamaría, Carlos “Patato” Valdes, Jose Luis Quintana “Changuito” and many others like them. Eddie brings his gospel flavor to the forefront and creates his own Guaguancó; his first sung completely in Spanish. Make no mistake about it, “Ghumbah” is a religious experience set to music.
